I had a great time at Janese and Sam’s uptown Charlotte engagement session. I got the opportunity to bring the wife along to assist.  You see she is the good luck charm and my keeper rate goes up by like 15%.  In this particular case she had things rolling so well we actually got ahead of schedule.  This never happens, and we had to wait for the sun to set to get our last set of shots.

We started the session in front of Bechtler Museum of Modern Art.  Although we didn’t actually go inside for any portions of the shoots this unique building offered up some very interesting prospects for shots to try.  Janese and Sam were a fantastic couple to work with. It took Sam a few minutes to get into the swing of things, but once he got his sea legs we were rolling

We finished off the engagement session at the “Water Wall” at Romare Park. See there are some pretty cool lights at the base of the wall that project at night.  The thought was these would make for a pretty epic picture once they cut on.  The issue was, well it didn’t seem like it wanted to get dark enough outside for the sensors to turn them on.  After about 20-25 minutes of impatient waiting they finally game on and we were back in business.  Turns out the lights were worth the wait and produced some of our favorite images.
