So I’ve been absolutely dying to get around to writing this blog for Amaris and Shaunessy’s beautiful Bleckley Station Wedding.  When I last left off with these two we had just wrapped up their engagement session at Furman University and even though we shot for nearly two hours it just didn’t feel like we had enough time together to create.  Honestly I think we were just having so much fun we didn’t want things to wrap up.  I know initially Shaunessy wasn’t a big fan of getting his picture taken, but I think I was able to make a believer out of him by the end of things.  These two are really some of the best clients I’ve ever had.  They are such a joy to be in the presence of, and on top of that they had total trust in my abilities and creativity.

Amaris and Shaunessy held their wedding ceremony and reception at the brand new Bleckley Station in Anderson, SC.  This being such a new venue, I had the honor of being one of the first few wedding photographers to ever shoot it.  It isn’t very often in my line of profession that you get to be one of the first three or four people to shoot a venue, so talk about a photographers dream coming true.  I liken this experience to being a painter getting a blank canvas to create on since there isn’t any work out there on the this venue.  When Amaris initially called me to check on my wedding day availability she gave me the venue name and described the setting.  She was so excited about it and repeatedly told me I’d love it.  Now anyone who knows me, knows that I’m not the easiest to impress because I have incredibly high standards. I then decided to hope in the car to take a scouting trip to check out what all the hoopla was about.  I didn’t make it more than two steps into the entrance before I was sold.  The fine folks at Bleckley Station did an amazing job with the entire venue and it is only a matter of time before word gets out and it becomes one of Upstate South Carolina’s premier wedding venues.

Amaris spared no expense in making her wedding the day the one from her dreams.  It was impossible to overlook the attention to detail that she put into every aspect of the wedding day.  Now that the wedding has concluded and the images have been captured I can honestly say that Amaris accomplished her vision.  I had such a wonderful time with the Martin and Gibson families during this wedding and I would be lying if I didn’t admit I was a little bit sad the wedding had to eventually end.  I truly hope that the memories of this wonderful evening live on through my images for generations to come.
